A browser extension for the dates that follow the Vietnamese lunar calendar — death anniversaries, the first and fifteenth of each lunar month, weddings — pushed to your Google Calendar so they show up on every device.
The primary purpose of Nhắc Âm Lịch is to help users easily track and get reminders for Vietnamese lunar calendar events (such as lunar new year, full moons, or traditional death anniversaries). Because Google Calendar does not natively support repeating events based on the lunar calendar, this app acts as a bridge: it calculates the corresponding Gregorian dates for lunar events and syncs them to your Google Calendar so you never miss important dates.
Nhắc Âm Lịch requests one Google OAuth scope, calendar.events, and only if you
choose to turn syncing on. It uses that access for exactly one purpose: to create and update
the lunar-date reminder events you yourself add in the extension, on your own calendar, so
that they appear on your phone and every other device where you read that calendar.
It does not read your existing events, your email, your contacts or your browsing history. It does not sell, share or transmit your data to anyone — there is no server in this app to send it to. Every lunar-date calculation runs inside your own browser.
You can revoke the access at any time, from the extension's settings or from your Google Account permissions page. Full details: Privacy Policy · Terms of Use.
Lunar dates do not repeat on a fixed Gregorian cycle. The 19th of one lunar month falls on 29 September; the next occurrence is 28 October. That is why ordinary calendar apps cannot express a lunar repeat — their "monthly" rule is anchored to Gregorian dates.
Nhắc Âm Lịch computes each occurrence individually using a Vietnamese lunar-calendar algorithm, creates dozens of upcoming dates in advance, and extends the series every day so the list never runs out.
Nothing to install. Open the add-a-date page, sign in with Google, pick a lunar date — the event goes straight to your calendar and appears on every device. Add it to your home screen to use it like an app.
If you also run the desktop extension, dates added from your phone flow back into it on the next sync.
The lunar algorithm ships inside the extension. No server computes anything for you, no internet connection is needed to look up a date, and there is no account to create. The only network connection is to Google Calendar, and only if you turn it on.
If you enable sync, the extension requests exactly one scope: calendar.events —
create and edit events on your calendar. It does not read email, contacts, or browsing
history. The full details are in the Privacy Policy.
The extension loads no code from any server and contains no obfuscated or minified code. You can unzip the package and read all of it.
